Patient Information

All patients at Kanata Orthodontics can expect to receive the highest standard of care in a relaxing environment, designed to make your time with us as comfortable as possible. Feel free to ask questions of any member of our knowledgeable and experienced team to better understand what your time with us will include.

Our initial consultation will allow us to get to know each other a little bit better.  We’ll take you on a tour of our space and provide a detailed overview of what you can expect during your visits. We’ll also complete an exam and devise a treatment plan to meet your needs.

Once treatment has begun, you will see us for short appointments every four to eight weeks so we can check in on your progress, make any adjustments that may be required, and answer any questions you may have.  Should you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible.

Payment Information

Orthodontic treatment is an investment in your smile and in your overall health.

Fees for treatment can be made by cash, personal cheque, Interac, Visa, or Mastercard.  The initial payment (usually 20-35% of the total) is due on the day treatment begins, followed by the monthly or quarterly fees payable throughout the duration of treatment.  Out team will discuss your overall fee and payment options before your treatment begins.

Kanata Orthodontics does not accept payment directly from your insurance provider but we will work with you to ensure that you have the necessary information (including a Canadian Association of Orthodontics Standard Information Form for predetermination) in order to expedite treatment approval and reimbursement from your insurance provider(s).

First AID

At times, you may find a loose piece of your braces or a protruding wire. Contact our office for guidance and, if necessary,  we will make an appointment for you to correct the issue.  Often, you can address the issue at home with wax or other simple remedies.
